CUSTOM BUILD
The design process for a new build is an exciting one. We discuss the design brief with the client, naval architect, and build team. Once the brief is clearly defined, the design exploration begins. We encourage clients to dream as we work from a blank canvas to ideate and create a space so individual to her owner. We begin the project by getting to know the client either on their existing boat or in their home. We explore the client’s preferences, from their favorite light of the day to their favorite song—discovering the details that bring them joy and weaving them into the design. We work on the general arrangement, wood and countertops, material selections, upholstery, and fixtures. We explore the design through sketching, mood boards, and 3D visualization. At the appropriate time in the project, we transition to curating the linens, tableware, accessories, and artwork. We support the build with several yard visits and ensure the boat is camera and cruise-ready at the end of the project.
REFITS
Transforming an existing boat into an environment for her new owner is incredibly rewarding. Just as it is vital to understand the client fully, it is equally important to understand the spirit of the existing yacht. Who built her, what areas need work and which to highlight, and what are her strengths and weaknesses? These realizations, combined with how the new owners will use the boat, help to drive the design. The refit process can bring new life to a vessel, through a complete overhaul or by simply changing fixtures and soft goods. The main objective is to transform the boat to reflect her new owner's style and goals while honoring the nature of the vessel. We support the build by working closely with the yard and with the client to navigate design decisions as they reveal themselves.
PRODUCTION + SEMI PRODUCTION
Buying a new boat comes with a lot of design decisions. With a long relationship with many top production yacht builders, TACK can help guide you through all design decisions, from exterior paint colors, upholstery materials and wood tones, to final touches like galley-ware and tote bags.
BRANDING
Tasteful branding throughout the boat can be an elegant touch for private or charter use. Our branding service will work with you on the branding of your boat and supply products from foul-weather gear to embossed cocktail napkins and transom graphics.
CUSTOM bedding
We believe that luxury and comfort onboard only enhance the cruise. We carry many luxury sheet brands and work with you on custom bedding with beautiful patterns to liven up any stateroom.
DECK FURNITURE
TACK has multiple lines of exterior furniture to choose from in different styles and uses. All of our products are designed for the exterior and to be appropriate for life on the water. We also offer deck furniture curation services to our clients on land for life at the beach, pool or deck.
CUSTOM SOFT GOODS
It’s amazing how a space can be transformed with the styling of new upholstery and pillows. TACK carries countless lines of luxury fabrics and materials. We work with clients to find the colors and patterns that speak to them.
