“Luckily, my husband was referred to Kate Seremeth and Tack Studios while he was at a shipyard in Maine and was looking for help with new interior cushions for our 58’ catamaran. I was at home, in another state, so I started communicating with her by email and phone. She wanted to spend time with me to figure out our style, needs, and how we would like to transform our spaces with a new look and feel. She has a great way of communicating, listening, and understanding our likes and visions.

We finally all met in Maine and looked at many fabrics and photos for ideas, and over time, with her expertise, she put together several boards for each of our spaces to let us see it all together. She had great drawings of the new interior cushion layouts and details of the inner makeup, shape, and attachments. She was great about working with the fabrics and prints we liked and making suggestions to bring it all together in a way we loved. Kate suggested a Perennials area rug that softened the space and made it feel more like a living room, with the bonus of it being washable. We had custom-shaped rugs for the helm and galley area made, that have nice cushion support, are great looking, and easy to wipe clean.

Loving how the main salon interior was going to look like it should be in a magazine, we decided to change all three cabin headboards, bedding, and pillows, adding custom-shaped bathroom rugs, as well as updating the outdoor seat cushions with new designer fabrics and pillows. Tack Studios also has a lot of great vendors that we used for outfitting galley supplies, towels, and table settings, and gorgeous drinkware. When we couldn’t find dog beds that fit the space where we wanted them, Ashley came to the boat to take measurements and help us design two dog beds for the space. The whole boat has a new higher-level luxury yacht look and feel while keeping it useable and manageable as a cruising yacht run without a crew!!!

We so enjoyed working with Kate on our boat that we hired her to help us remodel our home in another state. It was a big project with new lighting, furniture indoors and out, wallpaper, bedding, rugs, and accessories. Kate flew out once to see the space and take measurements, and we did the rest by phone, email, and text. Wow, what a change in the look and feel of our home! She has a natural gift for finding just what I want and helping me make detailed decisions. I wanted something different and special for our dining room table, so she worked with WoodLab to create a fantastic custom table and chairs based on my vision. Using the same wood finish, Kate had WoodLab build a custom bench with the same leather as on the dining chairs and family room coffee table to tie them all together and two console tables for our entry. Kate and WoodLab created gorgeous and unique pieces for us that are statement pieces that I will have for the rest of my life.

I hope to have more projects needing the services of Tack Studios so I can work with Kate again!”
